r-bioc-affy software package provides BioConductor methods for Affymetrix Oligonucleotide Arrays, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install r-bioc-affy
r-bioc-affy is installed in your system.
Make ensure the r-bioc-affy package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep r-bioc-affy *
You will get with r-bioc-affy package name, version, architecture and description in a table
